Melanie Trass, Vice President of Skills, Client and Talent Success, joined Interapt in October 2020. Melanie resides in Jacksonville, FL.     

Q: What brought you to Interapt?  

A: It is exciting to work with Interapt in the shared goal of providing opportunity to diverse talent who bring their upskilling achievements to the success of our client engagements. 

Q: What do you like about working at Interapt?  

A: My work aligns with my personal values of quantifiably impacting the lives of diverse people seeking to pivot their career into the technical space. Also, I am shown that I am valued in abundance daily. 

Q: Describe one accomplishment you are really proud of. 

A: I am proud that Interapt programs deliver quantifiable outcomes for our apprentices to succeed and develop their tech career. 

Q: Please share a little about yourself.

A: I am an Auntie Supreme who enjoys spending time with my 10 nieces and nephews who range in age from 11 – 25 years old. I am a dietary vegan. I have a 7-month-old kitten named Tofu. 

Q: What piece of advice would you give to your younger self? 

A: Align with a great career mentor early and know what resources are available to you. Move through the day knowing you are worthy of all meaningful opportunities that come your way. 

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?  

A: Space travel. 

Q: What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Listening to? Or reading? 

A: I am excited to workout with my Tempo Fit weight equipment to combine traditional strength building exercises with high intensity training. I enjoy the science podcast Hidden Brain.
