Whitney Woodruff, Director of Talent Success, joined Interapt in October 2021. Whitney resides in Atlanta, GA.

Q: What were you doing before Interapt?

A: Financial Auditing and Risk Mitigation. Prior to Interapt, I spent years within the audit and risk assurance space.

Q: What do you like about working at Interapt?

A: I love getting to learn about the tech space through a vast and diverse group of people who all bring their unique experiences and talents to the team. I appreciate connecting with clients and working towards the same goal.

Q: How has your career grown since starting at Interapt?

A: Being with Interapt has propelled me into leadership. Starting as a Lead within the client side provided me the opportunity to utilize my own technical and professional skills while also allowing me to work closely with junior talent to develop their careers as well. In doing so, I was able to build rapport between partners and internally within Interapt. This provided a wonderful opportunity to continue within the Talent Success team and expand my reach across junior talent within Skills.

Q: What would you share with someone interested in working at Interapt?

A: Do it! Interapt takes a unique approach to providing much-needed opportunities to individuals looking to venture into the tech space. If you’ve ever thought about changing careers, getting back into the workforce, and just furthering your technical skills, Interapt does a beautiful job of supporting you throughout your experience while offering challenging and meaningful work.

Q: Please share a bit about who has influenced you the most when it comes to how you approach work.

A: Wherever I go in my career, I always think back on my time with my very first manager after college. She instilled a curiosity in me that has gotten me so far in each and every role that I’ve had. She taught me how to ask questions, speak up when needed, and problem solve.

Q: Please share a little about yourself.

A: I live in the city with my kitten (Pebbles) so I love to explore my neighborhood and surroundings. My favorite places to be are on a hiking trail in the mountains and the yoga studio. I love to travel, try new foods, meet new people, and listen to music.

Q: What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

A: I would tell my younger self to remember to have fun and not take anything too seriously. It always all works out in the end.

Q: What is your favorite vacation spot or dream travel destination?

A: My dream vacation spot is Tokyo, Japan. I’ve wanted to go there since I was very young and just bought plane tickets to visit next year!

Q: What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Listening to? Or reading?

A: All month I’ve been watching as many Halloween movies as I can before the Christmas cooking shows start in December!

Q: What hashtag(s) describe your personality best?

A: #curious #excitable #excelnerd
