
Abby Henes joined Interapt in March after graduating from the Java Developer Cohort with Interapt Skills. Abby is currently working on our engagement with CVS Health as a Junior Software Developer. Abby resides in Lincoln, NE.
A: I was working as a Supervisory Immigration Services Officer for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Q: What brought you to Interapt?
A: I was looking to transition into software development but wanted a more seamless transition into employment than is what is typically seen in bootcamp graduates.
A: I really enjoy the supportive cohort environment; both while learning in the GA course and then transitioning into employment.
A: Every day I learn something new from my teammates. But every day also increases how much I know I *don’t* know!
A: Interapt’s training program has been truly life-altering. But it still takes commitment and dedication in order to see that transformation take place.
Q: Describe one accomplishment you are really proud of.
A: So far, I’ve had one turn being the engineer to demo the product for the end-users. It was gratifying to be able to show that I know how the application functions and be able to answer any questions they had about features that were implemented that round.
Q: Please share a little about yourself.
A: My spouse and I have a toddler and a corgi in the house. I look forward to fall arriving and transitioning from ice cream making to baking projects.
