Jordan Schuld joined Interapt in December of 2021 after graduating from the university of Louisville. He is currently working as Interapt’s IT Support Specialist. Jordan resides in New Albany, Indiana.
Q: What were you doing before Interapt?
A: I was a student at UofL
Q: What brought you to Interapt?
A: I wanted to work at a local Software Development company. When doing research Interapt really caught my eye.
Q: What do you like about working at Interapt?
A: I love the people who work here and how employee focused it is. They do so much to make sure employees are in their most comfortable work environment whether that is in the office, or at home.
Q: How has your career grown since starting at Interapt?
A: I have learned more about cyber security than I could in any class in school. I have also started working on getting my Network+ certificate through Interapt.
Q: What would you share with someone interested in working at Interapt?
A: I would let them know it is such a relaxed place to work. It is not like a “normal corporate job” with busy work left and right and being constantly stressed.
Q: Describe one accomplishment you are really proud of.
A: I am really proud to be almost finished with my Network+ certificate. This is the first step to fully moving into cyber security as a career.
Q: Please share a little about yourself (family, pets, fun facts, hobbies, etc.).
A: I am recently engaged as of 2 weeks ago to my fiancé Maria. We have a 13-year-old cat named Mogley and a wild 7-month-old beagle named Georgia.
Q: What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
A: I would tell myself to not stress about getting the dream job right away, because getting your foot in the door might end up being better for your career. I originally applied here as a junior developer and instead got offered a helpdesk position. It was not exactly what I wanted, but now I am moving into cyber security which I am liking more than I ever thought I would.
Q: What is your favorite vacation spot or dream travel destination?
A: One of my dream travel destinations would be Tokyo. I have watched so many videos of people visiting, and it looks like an amazing experience.
Q: What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Listening to? Or reading?
A: I am always listening to true crime podcasts! Some of my current ones are Crime Junkies, The Deck, and Park Predators.

A: I’m going to be honest; I have been looking at this question for a while and I cannot think of anything Haha.
