Build your skill set and launch your career
Interapt, with national training partners, develops intensive training programs to equip participants with the latest tech skills.
Offered at no cost to participants, participants gain a marketable skillset. Upon graduation, participants will have an opportunity for a year-long apprenticeship with Interapt to gain necessary hands-on experience. Following the apprenticeship period, graduates have the chance for job placement at one of Interapt’s Employer Partner Organizations.
IS INTERAPT SKILLS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Creating new job opportunities in technology
With a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, we provide traditionally overlooked individuals the opportunity to develop foundational coding and programming skills, offering them a chance for a new career path.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
By partnering with employers, we identify the skills that are in demand most. As a result, we develop in-person and virtual training programs that solve employers’ tech talent gaps and provide students with experience in different programming languages like HTML, CSS, and Java. After this introductory training in software fundamentals, students complete customized training modules to prepare for jobs with our partner companies.
WHO DO WE TRAIN?
We focus on communities needing economic development by training under-represented individuals and transitioning veterans. To participate in a training program, participants must undergo a screening and vetting process to identify those with the aptitude to learn the skills necessary to launch robust technology careers.
WHAT WILL YOU GAIN?
While traditional coding boot camps focus on teaching specific skills in a short period, our approach provides students foundational technical and business skills to take charge of their own career development.
After students complete our program, they enter a Registered Apprenticeship Program, approved by the Department of Labor. As apprentices, individuals are placed in year-long engagements with Interapt or our employer partner companies. Then, under seasoned senior developers’ guidance, apprentices receive the guidance and professional development necessary to emerge as junior developers.

Alvin M
Jr. Software Developer
“The support from the instructors, the energy of my other classmates and the general safe space really made for an experience that made all of the difference in giving me the skills and confidence needed to work as a software engineer”
Alvin worked in marketing before he decided to switch his career to coding, he was one of the top performers in his class. He is currently working at Interapt on a project with one of our partners that aims to save costs and improve outdated processes. He is also working on some side projects for friends and family.
Corey T
Jr. Software Developer
“I am incredibly appreciative of the opportunity Interapt gave me to learn and grow through the apprenticeship program and now, as a Jr. Software Developer. I, like so many others, had no idea what my path would look like. Even after the discipline and drive the Army provides, finding direction proved difficult for me. The Interapt team and my mentor gave me the training and support needed to start me on the path to a great career.”
With no former coding experience, US Army Veteran Corey joined his class with a desire to solidify a high-demand skill set – and is now employed with one of our partners.
Peter M
Jr. Software Developer
“The Immersive Java Enterprise training program at Interapt has given me the opportunity to work with many talented and passionate individuals that continue to inspire me till this day. I feel that Interapt has welcomed me from day one and continue to do so throughout my software developing journey. I am very grateful to have found a company like Interapt!”
Before Interapt, Peter was an IT Network Administrator. Finding that he needed more practical experience, he joined Interapt’s Software Development cohort. Since graduation and starting Interapt, Pete is working with one of our partners, developing a product responsible for allowing clients to submit health plans for further processing.
Quincy E
Jr. Software Developer
“I am very grateful for the opportunity Interapt has provided me. Interapt placed me in a training cohort that gave me the tools and knowledge I needed for my first job in software engineering. A lot of the patterns and design decisions I learned in the cohort are exactly what I use on the job. I am still learning a lot every day, but I feel like I am able to make a meaningful contribution to my team.”
Before Interapt Skills, Quincy was a Pharmacy Technician II and had some coding experience. He was a top performer in the Skills program. Quincy is now working on a project with one of our partners converting one of their existing PBM products to a modern tech stack.
Madeleine E
Jr. Software Developer
“At [Interapt Partner] I have had the opportunity to work on a product that will help underwriters with modeling different scenarios. It has been very challenging but I have learned so much in the past few months and it’s all because of the solid base that Interapt provided me with”
Prior to the program, Madeleine attended college and was a course assistant for a data structures class. The Skills program gave her the confidence to make decisions on her own and helped her realize that it is okay to make mistakes. Since the program, Madeleine has been hired by Interapt and is working with one of our partners.
Trentoria H
